WE NEED YOUR HELP
GOVERNMENT REGULATION CONTINUES TO ELIMINATE SMALL BUSINESSES.
As a wireless internet service provider (WISP), the FCC regulates the spectrum we are able to deliver you internet on. In March, the FCC changed rules for a specific band which we currently use on our network. Changing to comply with these new regulations will inhibit the distance and speeds that we are able to deliver. If this rule that the FCC passed is applied to First Step Internet's network, it could result in loss of service for many customers. You could be one of these customers that lose their internet service. Not only will this affect First Step Internet customers directly, many other people use this frequency band across the nation, particularly in rural areas where broadband choices are slim. The rule change will dramatically impact existing and future investments that have been made. Many consumers and businesses in rural areas will either lose their current Internet Provider, service will be degraded, or service will become more expensive.
