| INCREASED SPEED FOR ALL | | Since 2010, First Step Internet has been working on the ~$3.0 million BTOP Federal Grant to build nearly 600 air-miles of new high capacity broadband Internet infrastructure. This network provided new and improved connectivity to 43 Community Anchor Institutions, such as schools, libraries, hospitals, and government agencies throughout the region. As Phase 2 of this project begins, we are now ready to extend that increased bandwidth to our current residential and small business subscribers. The speed plans for our customers have at least doubled! If you were paying for 800kbps of service, you now receive 2mbps. If you were receiving 1.5mbps you now receive 4mbps. In nearly all cases, we have made these improvements and increased speeds at no additional cost to our customers. |
